Review:
January 20, 2010 prepped my 2009 return in TAXACT so I would be ready for my W-2's to enter correctly. Already had done a preliminary to see what I would be getting back partly with doing a guestimation from last paycheck on January 20. Called IRS Feb 5 to find out that taxes were being rejected because all of my information entered on January 20th (mine and my children's DOB, SSN and such) was filed that night by someone and funds were auto deposited into some checking account somewhere else. I sent TAXACT this information and their response is we are investigating it but we see in the past that other sources outside TAXACT can do this. What I had failed to tell them was my children's information was taken too and the only place this is stored was their system. They of course think it was just mine information....not it was the whole return stolen. They aren't going to want to own up to it. Will never use them again. Can't wait till the IRS gets a hold of this one. A MAC |
