The last two years my turbotax return brought me letters from the IRS, the first saying I overpaid my taxes, the second I underpaid. Their guarantee is fake when you read the fine print. 2011-04-15 |

I was was told the charge for Basic was about $34 but after I entered my credit card number, they (turbo Tax) charged me $78... Apparently they add the state without asking. Very shady business practice. 2011-04-12 |

I think it was very misleading and shameful showing the price of $39.95 and then charging my credit card $89.95. I will let this be known on every site I can possibly post to. I could have had someone else do them for that amount. I have always been a loyal customer and now you have lost a customer and as many people I can tell about my experience. Advertise as free and charge almost $90 is theft in my book. 2011-04-11 |

This was the worst experience I have had in the years I have used Turbo Tax. I gather some of it was because of the federal laws but what used to take only about two hours now took two days. Don't know if I will buy this product again. 2011-04-09 |

Besides the ridiculous amount of bugs, even during the installation process, I had a disk literally snap while simply trying to load it into the drive. Don't waste your money. 2011-04-08 |

I used it before, it getting worse and worse by years. This year, I used the Turbo Tax Home $ Business software, that is not good with many errors. Finally I had to go for help from an accountant for my Return. I will not use the Turbo Tax in the future. 2011-04-07 |

Do not use the TurboTax card for your refund. They will rip you off. I got gas at a grocery store which took a hundred dollar hold. The hold has been lifted and the money was never returned to me. The people for the card said it was returned but they are liars. I have checked my card day in and day out because I need the money to pay bills. Do not use the turbo tax prepaid visa for your refund. It's a scam. 2011-03-23 |

I have used turbo tax for years. It's worked fine until this year. I clicked on the Home and Business and it wouldn't let me change it. I started over and it was still the same. After trying to talk to someone for an hour + without success, I tried Tax Slayer. It's not as intuitive as Turbo Tax, but it found me an extra $100 and only cost $7 (I found a coupon) to efile my state and federal. There were a few things I had to refer back to on TurboTax, but it's there own fault.. 2011-03-14 |

Used Turbo tax in 2008, received a letter from the state I owed from 2008 because of mistake. The error was due to the Turbo tax program not transferring the exemptions properly from the Federal to the state. Support sucks, on hold over an hour still no help. Never going to use this product again. 2011-03-01 |

For the first time in the 10 years + I have been using the program, I got a bill saying I owed because of an error. The program has gotten more and more complicated and explanations are no longer user friendly. Changing programs this year. 2011-02-26 |

I have used TurboTax for several years, and each year I like it less and less. It has become more difficult to use, and there is absolutely no user support. I will not be using TurboTax again. 2011-02-21 |

I will never use TurboTax again. I used TurboTax for several years until last year, 2009. It would not work, their website was useless, nothing from tech support. I tried to be a loyal customer but TurboTax let me down. They do not care about their customers once they get your money. 2010-11-01 |

I am a biz owner and software developer. I need a tax software product to do my tax returns. I tried TurboTax for Business only to find out that it absolutely has to be installed on the “C” drive of a Windows system. Intuit doesn’t tell you that in advance. They also don’t tell you that their system “phones home” and provides them with data you might not want given to third parties, which they “give” to third parties (check out the .rtf file on the CD). But it doesn’t do this if you are running a Mac. While most people may not understand why someone would build a system with a very small “C” drive, the fact is, I have been doing this for more than 10 years. And Intuit will not assist you in this matter. In fact, I know how to change the install to put TT where I want it. And the program is set up to recognize that it is not on the “C” drive and delete itself. Good software sometimes has warts that are show stoppers. And none of this is spelled out on the box when you buy it.
